We also got a refund on the licence, but were warned by the young lady who arranged it to expect a certain number of peculiar letters, which she advised us to ignore. These have become increasingly threatening and offensive over time, and have quite got my back up. The tax-farming company keep threatening to come round and interview me 'under caution' (hah!), and claim to have been round while we were out. I am beginning to feel a bit of a fool for not having retained the telly as siege ammunition. It costs the earth in firewood to keep the oil boiling, and the cow keeps getting off the catapult... I'm so glad I threw my television out of the upper floor window dashing it into many pieces early in September, haven't missed it one bit and I got a refund on my licence.
