I can’t afford to shop at Waitrose, and there isn’t one for miles anyway, so my boycotting them for being repressive, authoritarian enemies of the freedom of speech will have no effect at all.
The Ambush Predator:
A supermarket has ‘teams’ of people monitoring website activity and conducting investigations…? Are you kidding me?
One suspects that thylacosmili find only limited opportunities for employment with gigantic corporations run by unjustifiable pyramids of scared, greedy, nothing-in-writing-and-no-witnesses managers. Were this not so, the exuberantly counterlibertarian practices of this company (and evidently also of some of its competitors) might perhaps not seem quite so incredible. It appears invariably to be the case that once a company exceeds a certain size its management consider themselves to own the workers body and soul for 24 hours a day, despite paying them only for 8.
I, too, have worked in a supermarket.
