Having spent the morning at the dentist’s, having a tooth out, I have been forbidden all forms of sustenance, particularly smoking, until further notice.

It is a very nice day and there is nothing harrumphable in the Telegraph again; also I am, despite the earliness of the hour, starting to get the usual eyeball-collimating problem.
